Overview
Yarrow is a ubiquitous native found from the coast to the high Sierra. Its white flat-topped flower clusters are a landing pad for butterflies and beneficial insects.
It spreads via rhizomes to form a dense mat of ferny green leaves. It can tolerate some foot traffic and can even be mowed as a rustic lawn substitute.
